Web design for photographer Alistair Matthews. I created a grid system that sorts Alistair’s work by category. Instead of reshuffling when categories are checked or unchecked, the photos are fixed in place and whitespace grows or shrinks. This way, you’re able to really focus on on the quirky, interesting photos one at a time, while getting a sense of the scope of topics her work covers. I also added playful interactions to the website to echo her quirky photographs: colorful hover states, an animation that populates when the user is idle, and an easter egg drawing tool.
